New to the Pro Peloton in 2006, Toyota-United made an immediate impact on the domestic racing
circuit with 24 NRC wins and a second place raking in the overall team standings. Among the team's
most notable accomplishments were stage wins in both the Tour of California and Tour de Georgia.
They were the only U.S. based team to do so. This year the team has signed seven new riders to its
roster including former First Union USPRO Champion, Henk Vogels who rode the previous season with
Davitamon Lotto. Vogels will be a welcome addition to the team's overall horsepower since the team
lost its main sprinting specialist Juan José Haedo who transferred to CSC. Other additions to the team
include Walker Ferguson, Caleb Manion, Ryan Miller, Nathan Mitchell, Mark Scanlon, and Burke
Swindlehurst.
