2008 marks the sixth year for team Colavita in the pro peloton. The team has signed seven new riders to
its current roster. The most notable additions to the team include Argentinean sprinting specialist and a
man who made more than twenty podium appearances last season, Alejandro Borrajo, former Argentine
National Champion, Lucas Haedo, and after a one year absence with the team 2007 Chris Thater Memorial
Champion, Kyle Wamsley who rode the previous season with the Navigators Insurance Pro Cycling Team.
Returning to the Colavita/Sutter Home Men’s squad for 2008 are all-rounder Davide Frattini and climbing
talent Anthony Colby. Frattini, a native of Italy and former “Baby” Giro d’ Italia champion, is a skilled and
highly versatile competitor. With several top five finishes in many of the toughest
races on U.S. soil,
Frattini successfully supports the team’s climbers and sprinters in their quests for their respective jerseys.
Anthony Colby of Durango, CO has distinguished himself as a singular climbing talent, taking third in the
stage up the infamous Brasstown Bald in the Tour de Georgia, then capping off the season with the King
of the Mountain jersey in the 2007 Tour de Toona.
